Drove to Maniwaki to get the boat fixed

The next day we pulled the boat out of the water and drove to the Mercury Dealer in Maniwaki.

Of course that meant another trip down and back on the dreaded rock road.

On the ride down to Maniwaki I spotted the bunker that fell off still on the side of the road and we stopped and picked it up.

Manawaki is a former logging town and a railhead. When logging was the only industry up here back in the early 1900's through the 1950s this town was booming. The original owner and subsequent owners of Deer Horn Lodge came from Manawaki and I had always envisioned it as the epicenter of outdoor activity.

Today, it was looking pretty run down. Of course this could just be the effects of the Pandemic.

The dealer said it was good to go so we dragged it back to Deer Horn Lodge.

We missed a rainy day
