I caught this nice 4 lb Walleye just inside the slot just south of Stern's Pass

First Walleye of 2019

The boat is in the water!

Walleye 10 lb Club

We tried White Fish Lake in the morning but didn't get a Walleye so we headed towards Iroquois Point

At first there was a little tug and then the line stopped and I thought I was snagged but when it pulled back I knew it was a fish, just not this fish.

The first approach to the boat my father and I thought it was a pike but on the second time near the boat I recognized the white edging on the fins and couldn't believe it was a Walleye and this big!  In fact, it took me 5 times to get into the net, each time it ran.  Finally we got it in! 

Weighing in at 11 lbs

Caught on 8 lb test and light bait casting rod!

Last Walleye of the Trip

Here is my last walleye caught in Burns Bay.

Shore Lunch at Flick's Island (Burns Bay)

The lone walleye we caught today was eaten on Flick's island.

Another great day of Walleye fishing

Caught around 10 Walleye today between my father and I. Lost a few at
the boat, and kept 4 to finish out our limit! Catching them in 10
feet of water on worm rigs with bottom bouncers and ripping them
through the weeds. Caught another little pike in a place that we call
Snag City, one of the bays due north of Monkey Rock. Also caught a
small blue walleye. I have caught some blue walleyes here before but
they are always small.

Tomorrow we go for Trophy Pike!

Laker Trout and Walleye

Great day of fishing on Sunday! First Laker was a throw back but the
second laker was 8 lbs. The Walleye was 7 lbs. My larget walleye,
yet.
